Sora, families gather at Parco Valente for a day of stories, music and imagination

SORA – A lively afternoon filled with stories, songs and shared moments brought families together at Parco Valente for the first event of “A World Shaped Like a Story”, a project promoted by the Sora Public Library with support from the Lazio Region.

The initiative attracted children and parents eager to enjoy an outdoor experience focused on reading, creativity and community engagement.

Stories come to life in the park

Performers I Gatti Ostinati, Cataldo Nalli and Davide Fischanger guided young participants through a journey of fairy tales, nursery rhymes, storytelling and music.

For a few hours, one of Sora’s most popular public spaces became an open-air stage where imagination took center stage, creating an interactive environment that encouraged participation and fun for all ages.

Bringing culture beyond traditional spaces

The event reflects the municipality’s commitment to making culture more accessible by taking activities beyond libraries, schools and traditional venues.

By transforming public spaces into places for learning and entertainment, the project aims to strengthen community connections while encouraging children to discover the joy of books and storytelling.

Next stop: July 1

Following the strong turnout at the opening event, “A World Shaped Like a Story” will return on July 1 with another afternoon dedicated to stories, words and imagination.

The program continues to position the Sora Public Library as a key cultural hub, promoting reading and community participation through events designed for families and young readers.
